Introduction

ColdStream accepts manufacturing settings to drive the design process, such that the solution complies with the manufacturing standards of the user.
There are two main manufacturing categories: 3D printing and the so called 2D manufacturing methods. The former allows a freeform design, while the latter is restricted to produce features with uniform height over the full span of the design region along the manufacturing orientation.

• Standard Design: offers exploration of the settings in a parametric fashion, producing compliant designs.
• Custom Design: generative engine, implicitly taking the manufacturing settings into account during the design process.

Specific manufacturing settings and default profiles are managed directly through the Libraries page. The tables in the following chapter provide a comprehensive summary of the supported manufacturing techniques, their governing parameters, and their application across both design modes.
